Base & Minus
Crushed rock with fines. Compacts tight — road base, driveways, building pads.
3/4" Minus - ITD Type B
Three-quarter-inch crushed rock with fines, graded to Idaho Transportation Department Type B. The workhorse road base — it compacts tight and holds up under traffic.
Details & uses →3/4" Minus - Non Spec
2AG404Three-quarter-inch minus crushed rock that isn't held to an agency gradation. Same material, same compaction, lower cost — the value pick where no spec is called for.
Details & uses →5/8" Minus - WSDOT
2AG421Five-eighths-inch minus crushed surfacing graded to Washington State DOT requirements. A finer base that finishes smoother than 3/4" minus.
Details & uses →1-1/4" Minus - WSDOT
2AG402Inch-and-a-quarter minus crushed base graded to Washington State DOT requirements. A deeper, coarser base course for heavier loading.
Details & uses →1-1/4" Minus - Non Spec
2AG417Inch-and-a-quarter minus with fines, not held to an agency spec. Economical deep base where the gradation doesn't have to be certified.
Details & uses →3" Minus
2AG403Three-inch minus crushed rock. Coarse and heavy with fines to bind it — built for building up soft ground before a finer base goes on.
Details & uses →GSB
2AG419Granular subbase aggregate — the lower structural layer placed beneath a base course.
Details & uses →ITD Rock Cap Class 1
2AG430Surfacing aggregate graded to Idaho Transportation Department Rock Cap Class 1 — the finish layer over a completed base.
Details & uses →Ballast
Clean angular rock for track bed, heavy-load base and drainage.
1-1/4" Ballast
2AG405Inch-and-a-quarter clean angular rock with the fines screened out. Locks together under load and drains freely.
Details & uses →2" Ballast
2AG406Two-inch clean angular ballast. Coarser voids, faster drainage, more load spread than 1-1/4".
Details & uses →3" Ballast
2AG423Three-inch clean angular rock. Used where the ground is wet or soft and water has to move through the layer.
Details & uses →4" Ballast
2AG422Four-inch clean angular rock — the largest of our ballast sizes, for the softest ground and the heaviest traffic.
Details & uses →Chips & Seal Aggregate
Small uniform crushed rock for chip seal, slurry seal and pipe bedding.
3/8" Chip
2AG414Three-eighths-inch uniform crushed chip, washed clean of fines. The standard chip seal size.
Details & uses →1/2" Chip
2AG416Half-inch uniform crushed chip. A coarser seal coat aggregate with more texture underfoot and underwheel.
Details & uses →5/8" Pipe Bedding Chips
2AG407Five-eighths-inch clean chip sized for bedding and haunching pipe. Beds evenly around the barrel and drains rather than holding water against it.
Details & uses →Con Agg Chip
2AG429Concrete aggregate chip — washed crushed rock graded for batching into concrete mixes.
Details & uses →3/8" Slurry Seal Type 3
2AG431Three-eighths-inch aggregate graded for Type 3 slurry seal — the coarsest slurry grade, for roads carrying real traffic.
Details & uses →Rock & Riprap
Large stone for erosion control, bank protection and heavy fill.
Rip Rap
2AG426Large angular stone placed to stop moving water taking ground with it. Sized and keyed together so the bank stays where you put it.
Details & uses →4"-8" Quarry Spalls
2AG412Four- to eight-inch angular quarry rock. The go-to for construction entrances — big enough to knock mud off tyres, angular enough to stay put.
Details & uses →Shot Rock
2AG418Blasted rock straight off the face, uncrushed and unsorted. Rough, cheap and effective when you need mass and volume.
Details & uses →Drain Rock
2AG415Washed rock with the fines taken out, so water runs through instead of sitting in it.
Details & uses →Reject
2AG425Oversize and off-gradation material screened out of production. Inconsistent by nature, and priced accordingly — the cheapest way to move volume.
Details & uses →Pit Run
2AG411Material as it comes out of the pit — unscreened and uncrushed, a natural mix of rock, gravel and fines.
Details & uses →Boulders
Landscape and retaining boulders, from placeable to machine-set.
Landscape Boulders
2AG408Boulders selected for how they look. Set as features, borders and low walls.
Details & uses →Angular Boulders
2AG409Boulders with flat broken faces, so they stack and stay stacked. The ones to use when the wall has to hold.
